It's America day(!) and here I sit, on the porch, dreaming up different uses for red, white, and blue. I think I have seeing the cover to the Dandy Warhols' album Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia (pictured) at an impressionable age to thank for my enduring love for Americana. Before that (not to mention the album itself), I was just a 14 year old kid who thought he discovered Nirvana (by himself and ten years too late). Aesthetically speaking, I am patriotic af. On the other side of the window from Captain America's shield, I've hung a giant American flag for the last few years, which has admittedly started to feel a little weird, given the current state of things.

Earthgrinds of 2017 (so far)

The enduring and nearly ten-year-old Earthgrind logo, which I made on a whim for nothing and no one but myself back in the halcyon days of 2008, is still one of my favorite things to mess around with all because of it's simplistic versatility and other verbose descriptors. Honestly, I just love it, and even though this wasn't exactly in my mind when I made it, I look at it and think, “Life is short. Get to work.”
